Your Mission
Your mission is to help build a new product that is already gaining strong traction and turn that momentum into something that truly shapes the market.
This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role. This is about joining early, leaning into ambiguity, and helping define what great looks like while the product, the team, and the ways of working are still forming. You’ll help us move fast without breaking what matters, and raise the engineering bar while shipping meaningful value to users at speed.

Your Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a core builder of a new product within Hoxhunt. You’ll work in a small, autonomous, product-minded team where engineering decisions directly shape user experience, scalability, and long-term success.
You won’t just execute tickets — you’ll help define problems, challenge assumptions, and take responsibility for outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys figuring things out as they go, and is excited to help both the product and the team level up.
What You’ll Do
Build and ship product features end-to-end: from problem definition to launch, monitoring, and iteration
Write high-quality, maintainable code using Node.js, TypeScript, and React
Participate in technical design, planning, and architectural discussions
Review code, give thoughtful feedback, and help unblock teammates
Contribute to monitoring, developer experience, and operational practices as the product scales
Mentor and support junior engineers, helping grow both skills and confidence across the team
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is impact-driven, ambitious, and comfortable with ambiguity — someone who takes ownership naturally and wants to win as a team.
Must-have experience & mindset:
Experience working in or for a product company (strong product ownership and user focus)
Proven end-to-end product development experience across multiple problem spaces
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-ownership environments where things aren’t fully defined
Strong systems thinking and long-term mindset
A clear “team win > individual win” mentality
Willingness and ability to mentor junior engineers
Must-have technical skills:
Node.js, TypeScript, React
Strong understanding of the web platform and browser APIs
Bonus Points If You Also:
Have worked on early-stage or fast-growing products
Have experience with security products or regulated environments
Are familiar with MongoDB, GraphQL, or browser extensions
Have experience with AI-native development or agentic workflows

Location and Salary Range
Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid)
The team typically spends 2–5 days per week in the office
No strict on-site requirements, but consistent availability in Helsinki is preferred
Salary range: €5,500 – €7,000 / month, depending on experience
